The hood of this purple heart press is capped on the ends with ebony, holly, and red heart.
Ritchie's comment: Steve telephone me on July 13, just as I was finishing Number 98
and when I told him it was ready to go, he decided to go ahead and reserve it. He's a
maker of all kinds of novel things in wood and steel, and sent me a drawing of a
miniature guillotine he made for the a circus museum, which I incorporated
the etching for the test print.
Specifications: Made in 2011. Mini Halfwood Press. Serial No. 60098. Rollers are 1.5 x 5.75 inches top and bottom. The bed is 1/4 x 6 x 17 inch polycarbonate (the standard); overall length is 17.5 inches; overall width is 9 inches; overall height is 10 inches; weight, 12 lbs.; drive wheel is 8 inches diameter in stainless steel; the woods are purple heart, ebony, holly and red heart on the hood-ends and red heart caps the flat top. The instrument box is poplar and baltic birch trimmed in purple heart. Included are felt blankets, copper plate, Allen Wrench, User's Manual and DVD.
