Mini Halfwood Press No. 87

Specifications: Made in 2011. Mini Halfwood Press. Serial No. 60087. Rollers are 1.5 x 5.75 inches top and bottom. The bed is 1/4 x 6 x 17 inch polycarbonate (the standard); overall length is 17.5 inches; overall width is 9 inches; overall height is 10 inches; weight, 12 lbs.; drive wheel is 8 inches diameter in stainless steel; the woods are American black walnut with a walnut hood, Brazilian ipe cladding on the steel, ipe on the hood-ends and also capping the flat top. The instrument box is mahogany and baltic birch trimmed in ipe. Included are felt blankets, copper plate, Allen Wrench, User's Manual and DVD.

Comment: Christophe sent email from his studio in Germany in Februay, 2011 and then ordered his press. He said he had a notion to travel with it - even considering taking it on bike rides! In 1998 he opened the "Bildarium" in Hanover as an art kiosk and exhibition space . The "Bildarium" has moved and is now more than studio community. Bill completed the press for Christophe in July.
