Comment: As artist-in-residence at Centrum Foundation, at Fort Worden (Port Angeles) I made a series of monotypes, a continuation of the Jagged Door series (see Sheraton Project), plus sketches from my world travels. I wanted to work in origami paper folding, imagining a door that opened like origami. There were other people who played roles in making this work a success. Dwight Coburn, for example, printed the lithographs, and C. T. Chew came to Port Townsend one day and made photo essay on me working.
