Bill Ritchie artworks in the
Richard Fairbanks' Estate Collection
"Tree Turning," "Rain Tree," and
"Small Place" by Bill Ritchie
Lithographs drawn on stone and relief print. Other Collections:
H. Pitzler; J. Leary; J. Sorby; B. Penn; Marysville School District (WA). Exhibited at the
Henry Gallery "Six from Washington" 1967.
Artist statement: "Richard Fairbanks had many good students, several of whom went on to make names for themselves in ceramic arts--Bruce Wild, for example. Others went into different arts, like Charles Stokes and Ron Ho. Richard was generous to me with stories of travel and study abroad, Finnish cooking tips and trips to Seattle to sample arts, crafts, design and bakeries! He gave me much, and for our wedding, he gave us two prized pots. I think I gave the prints to him after I finished graduate school."
