Artist's commentary: I did a reduction-printed series of monoprints after I had done a series of monotypes. Hunter Lu, a friend from Shanghai, wrote the calligraphy for me to cut into the lino block. They represent the six elements of my design: Time, clouds, lake, mountains, flower and wind. I made small variations throughout the printing as I was getting my ideas in order for an editioned kite." See a variation of this print in the David Prentice Collection
