Artist's comment: "A computer artwork I started In 1985 in the Ibis Project sponsored by business owners and patrons Eleanor Mathews, her sister, the late Emeline Mathews, and Carl Youngman. Emeline adjusted the company's inkjet printer to print the panels In separate sections. I pasted them together afterward, producing three sizes of Two Dog Coat. This unique print is the middle-sized one and was shown in several exhibitions in Seattle, Redmond and Tacoma, Washington. I conceived of Two Dog Coat as one of several stage costumes for an installation, live stage or film performance. The paper display version was shaped after Japanese folk and military clothing. The larger one was purchased for the Microsoft collection. In time the design became a real coat, hand embroidered in Nepal with the back side being made by C. T. Chew.
