Artist's comment: Sharon contacted me via email in early May and I sent her a picture of No. 115, owned by a former member of the Austin Women Printmakers (an organization which shows Navage's prints). I wanted to show Sharon how her press would look when I got it detailed. She replied, ". . . [Halfwood Presses] are works of art. Thanks. I have a big press, a griffin that I’m quite taken with; I can’t wait to get this little one though I like little plates some times and think the tiny plates are better done on a small press. I do hope mine is as pretty as the picture." A week later, the press arrived and she messaged: "It's perfect thanks." At the time, Sharon's website is http://www.sjnavage.com/
