About G. I. Quimby: George Irving Quimby was an anthopologist, professor and was director of the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture from 1968-1983. He died in February, 2003. His wife, Helen, survived another ten years. She was an artist.
Bill Ritchie's comment: It is my hunch that Helen Quimby had a lot to do with this family purchasing my print. It was at a time when G. I. Quimby was about to become the director of the Burke Museum when they bought the print, either at a Henry Gallery showing or from Francine Seders later on.
