Mini Halfwood Press No. 7

Specfications: Made in 2004. Mini Halfwood Press of the original Legacy Line. Serial No. 60007. Walnut, ipe, steel, plastic, brass.

Bill Ritchie's comment: Bob saw the Mini Halfwood press at the Dan Smith Inc. demonstration in November of 2004, and he told his wife, Alice, about it. Alice got the rest of the family to go together and buy the Mini Halfwood No. 7 as a gift for Bob's Christmas present. We received greeting cards he printed on the Mini for the following 16 years and counting!

In 2015, he wrote:

"Many thanks for getting me started in print making. I had been interested in the techniques since I took a free hand sketching and drawing class when I was at the Univ. of Maine in the 1960s.  The professor managed to get a lot of information in on various techniques and I always remembered it. Have always had a fascination with etchings and other line art.  I don't spend as much time on it as I would like, but only because I have a lot of other fascinations that keep pulling me in several ways.  But your Ferric Chloride etching demo at Daniel Smith gave me the incentive to dabble in the etching process.  It’s been a blast, and I have found numerous ways to incorporate it into my other hobbies and my other hobbies into it.    – Bob"

Three of Bob's prints he included in the Small is Beautiful Exhibit at Baker University, 2008.
