Specifications: 2013. Mini Etching Press. Serial No. m60002. Specifications: Top and bottom rollers are 1.5 x 6 and 5.5 inches. The bed is 1/4 x 6 x 14.5 inch polycarbonate with steel rack; overall length is 14.5 inches; overall width is 9 inches; overall height is 10 inches; weight, about 13 lbs; hand-welded stainless steel drive wheel is 8 inches in diameter. Bed is rack-driven, approximating a 3:1 mechanical advantage. Wood is purple heart with custom brass fittings and large, personalized side badge. Pressure screws are linked and synchronized. Includes two etching felts.
Comment: Pei-Hsuan Wu was very interested in the small size of the Mini Etching Press and our email correspondence was carried on for weeks as he debated on which size to choose. It happened that I was ready to let go of my special, one-of-a-kind purple heart Mini Etching Press which had made for producing the videos showing how to assemble it. This is what he chose, then he sent snapshots of his first prints.
