In Bill's print, "George Crossed
Boundaries", The Handmade Dog with Calculus
is combined with a diagram from a calculus textbook and the arborescence
pattern.

However, it's understandable if you
fell for this question, because there is a connection between Bill's idea
of a locus of beauty and calculus.
For example, in his series of intaglios in the
late 1990s, he used a diagram from a calculus textbook as the basis of a
series of graceful lines. He engraved the lines into one of the three
plates for the Handmade Dog & Calculus series.
The reproduction at the left is an example.
Nice try!
