Artist's Comment: Lane Parks produced a local art festival for the residents of Guemes Island and neaby Anacortes. It was an opportunity for me to try out my new Mini Halfwood Press in a pastoral, plein air setting. Lane's Madrona Art Center Concept was launched, literally, in the pasture of his acreage by the Guemes Island ferry landing. I set up my makeshift worktable under a plum tree and went to work on my plate, using the plum tree as my inspiration.
