Target and Arrow
Provenance: 1968. Print. Intaglio. Black on white Rives BFK paper. Image size 1 5/8" x 3" inches. Signed lower right.
Artist's Comment: From the Targets and Highways series (they were large paintings and drawings) I moved to miniatures again, anticipating the stamp-sized etchings and artist's stamps. Contrary to logic, making the small aquatints were more difficult than the ordinary sized prints. On the other hand, they were more economical to print, and I could experiment more. In another version, "One and one and one," I printed four-up on one sheet.
