Tree
Povenance: 1965. Print. Intaglio, printed from aquatint etched zinc plate in black. Image 4 7/8 X 2 7/8 in. on 7 3/8 X 5 3/4 in. Rives BFK. No. 2/10. Signed lower right.
Artist's comment: "When you apply dust and fluid grounds to a plate for etching, you're working with the same kinds of forces that shape our landscape--dust, water and resistants. I grew to love printmaking for these reasons--the processes harmonize with the tree and landscape ideograms."
