Artist's comment: I never met John Fudala, but his name came up fifty years later when David Lotz called my attention to the drawing John bought in 1971 because it was auctioned in 2020. This took me on a search to find out more. Sadly, John died in 2012. His obituary reads: "John Fudala of Silverdale passed away at his home November 25, 2011 with his loving family at his side. John ... grew up in Brooklyn andserved in the US Air Force. After his service he moved to the Seattle area and earned a Bachelor's Degree at the University of Washington. John was an artist and worked with various media and was well known for his paintings. He had a small gallery in Seattle where he sold them." The obituary listed his wife and children, and I suppose they consigned the drawing to the Mroczek Brothers Auctioneers of Renton. Information regarding the new owners would be appreciated by the Ritchie Family.
