About Pat Brunton: Pat and her husband Fred moved to Maple Valley in the 1960s. Pat restored the famous Olson Mansion, redoing all the woodwork and furnishings. She entertained a great deal, was a member of the Valley Opera Guild, helped start the Maple Valley Arts group and was a King County Arts Commissioner. She invited artists to be in shows at the Maple Valley Library, and purchased the Ritchie print for her husband. Fred, a retired Boeing engineer, ran the Bushell Auction House until he was killed in an accident. Pat worked in antiques and also rented out rooms in the mansion until she passed away in 1984. Their son David. a professional dancer, kept the mansion going until he moved to Seattle, and Kem lived there unti it sold in 1990.
Comment: Pat Brunton contacted me around 1968-1969 and invited me to put on a solo show at the Maple Valley Public Library. She was most likely running the Maple Valley Arts group, and the library was providing the show space. It is probably that gave a talk to their members.
