Specifications: 2017. Mini Etching Press. Serial No. MEP60041. Specifications: Top and bottom rollers are 1.5 x 6 and 5.5 inches. The bed is 1/4 x 6 x 14.5 inch polycarbonate with steel rack; overall length is 15 inches; overall width is 9 inches; overall height is 10 inches; weight, about 13 lbs; hand-welded stainless steel drive wheel is 8 inches diameter. Bed is rack-driven, approximating a 3:1 mechanical advantage. Wood is solid American black walnut. Pressure screws are linked and synchronized. Includes two etching felts, chase, user's manual and tools for assembly.
Comment: Bridget ordered her DIY Mini Etching Press on Etsy and then stayed in touch until it arrived and she had time to put it together. Not only did she put it together in quick order, she also made Instagram videos of it; and then she made a video of making her first print may be seen at https://www.instagram.com/p/BXwxiHagRjY/?taken-by=bridgetfarmerprintmaker. Galleon Halfwood Press No. 26
Specifications: Serial No. 90026. Roller diameter 2 1/4" x 9" long, top and bottom. Bed is 3/8" polycarbonate, 9" x 26". The overall length is 27"; overall width is 13 3/4"; overall height is 15". Weight is 50 lbs.; Drive wheel is 12" diameter stainless steel and drives gears (concealed) and with rack-driven bed, approximates a 6:1 mechanical reduction. Styled in solid black walnut wood with wenge interlayer on the base' foots. The pressure screws are linked and synchronized.
