Frigate Halfwood Press No. 6
Specifications: 2013. Frigate Halfwood Press. Serial No. 750006. Specifications: Roller diameter 1 7/8" x 7.5" long, top and bottom. Bed is 3/8" polycarbonate, 7 1/2" x 21". The overall length is 22"; overall width is 12 3/4"; overall height is 13". Weight is 26 lbs.; Drive wheel is 10 1/2" diameter stainless steel. The bed is rack-driven, approximating a 3:1 mechanical advantage. Woods used are American black walnut with wenge interlayering. The pressure screws are linked and synchronized. The press included three etching felts, user's manual and plus a PressGhost memory and USB extension cable for connecting to any computer. A complimentary print from the press test by Bill Ritchie is also included, also books by Bill Ritchie: "Halfwood Press: The Story," "The Art of Selling Prints," and "Cascades."
Artist's comment: Cecilia sent me email from Brazil and explained that she wanted a press so that she could do her engraving work at home, at any time, and that she would like to do printmaking for herself. She is an accomplished engraver, and sent an image of her work (below). I enjoyed corresponding with her and working on the details, and in October, 2013, I sent her Frigate Halfwood Press and three books.

the right has embossing because it is dedicated to the blind people.
In 2016 Cecilia realized her ambition to attend the United States Southern Graphics Conference in San Francisco.
Not only did she attend but she also introduced Reka Nemet into my life. In 2018-19, Reka came from her home
in Hungary to spend three months in Seattle. The photo below is of our meeting in Portland for the SGC.
